1: Main Character's Name, Class, and Level (all required information)

Overtanked, (Prot) Warrior, 80

2: Real life Name, Age and Sex. (Ex: Alex/27/M)

Jason/22/Male

3. Link to your armory page

http://www.wowarmory.com/...

4: Playing schedule and time zone. Be sure to factor in any activity or IRL responsibility that may conflict with your ability to raid. (Ex: I am on the West Coast and am usually available from 7:30 server time till midnight or later, but I have martial arts on most Wednesdays until 9:00 server time...)

I currently play every day, after work. I get off work at 4pm. My time is the same as the server's. Currently, my only raiding restriction would be on wednesdays. That's usually my day to hang out with the lady, but other than that, I'm completely open.

5: Do you have Ventrilo? Do you have a mic? (Ventrilo is required and a mic is strongly encouraged, but not having a mic will not keep you out of the guild by itself.)

Yes and yes. I also use it whenever needed.

6: Is your Computer stable? Is your network connection reliable?

Yes to both. I keep all anti virus/spyware/malware/ect software up to date, and I use an authenticator (don't mean to dip into account security here and whatnot, just pointing it out).

7: Previous guilds? (Previous servers?) Make a list. Include the reasons you left.

My main is a horde warlock on the pvp server Cho'gall. I transfered my now main character in hopes of pretty much just tanking in ICC and future instances. I pretty much rolled a dice to pick the server, not happy with the results, I came here. My lock is still guilded, however I don't play it.

So, in my warrior's case, I've currently never been guilded here.

8: Defiant uses DKP for raid attendance tracking and loot distribution, and loot council / need before greed in select situations (10 man raids). There also may be a short waiting period imposed before you will be eligible for loot. Is this acceptable to you?

Absolutely am okay with it.

9: Do you currently have any friends in the guild? If not, can you name at least two strong references from Illidan/Alliance? Avoid providing IRL friends or relatives as references, unless they're Defiant members.

I tanked a ToC group where I met your priest maxor. He was on his DK alt (I believe it was, can't remember). Not sure if he'd vouch or whatever, but I figured I'd throw that out there. He told me I'd need to work on my gear, and I agreed, but I wanted to at least try.

10: What is your interest in WoW and Defiant? What is your play style? (Ex: Friends, Community, Questing, PvP, Raids. I raid when I can but usually just farm and play casually due to the IRL responsibilities I mentioned on question 4.)

In WoW I play solely to raid. I've been pvp'ing a LITTLE bit more lately, but mostly I play to raid. My warlock is a Kingslayer, and he's missing about 2-3 achs for the 25 ICC drake, and a few for the 10 ICC drake. I'm pretty much a "hardcore" raider.

In Defiant? Well, I'm aware you guys are very past my gear level in raiding terms, but you definately seem like the type of guild I'd like to associate myself with. Between what Maxor had to say, your progress, and just the general attitude, I think I'd fit in very well. I'm hoping you guys can be my home.. in a sense. A guild I could grow with, not only as a person, but as a player/tank as well.

11: Been there, raided that? Tell us about your accomplishments in raids before and after the expansion.

Let's see..

On my warlock, I've done it all. ToGC, 11/12 heroic ICC (10/25M)... pretty much everything when it was cool. Got 3drake before people started zerging it, ect ect.

Vanilla: Cleared everything up to the first 3 or 4 in the original naxx
BC: Everything. Downed Illidan. Good times.
Wrath: Again, pretty much everything with the exception of Heroic LK

With that being said, I havn't tanked much truthfully. I've tanked the basic raids (ToC, OS, ect). I've tanked like 6/12 in ICC 10M, nothing in 25M. Havn't gotten a chance to get a group for it. However, I'd like to point out that as I know the fights, I know the positioning of tanks, and whatnot, so it shouldn't be an issue.

12: How long have you played online games (or WoW)? What are some former online games you've played (if any)? What is your general experience level with WoW?

I've played WoW since launch. Could have gotten into beta, but I hadn't really been paying attention to it before it actually launched. As far as online games, I've played CS, SC (SC 2, YESSSSSS), the whole WC series, and ... sadly, the Sims... Let's not touch that subject : /.

13: Do you play alt characters? If so, list the ones you're most likely to be on if we tried to contact you in-game to follow up on your application.

Not currently no. As I said, I don't log onto my warlock anymore. I have a few alts here on Illidan, but nothing I care to actually play.

14: Post a screenshot or link to your UI (If you are unsure how to do this, ask around or research it online. If you're having problems posting the UI screenshot to this site, just include the direct link to wherever it's hosted. ie Imageshack etc.).

I'd like to add that everything is bound even though, for some reason, some aren't showing up. I try to bind pretty much everything.

15: Tell us about yourself...

Well, firstly I apologize if I wasted your time due to my gear. It is pretty bad, and while I'm trying to upgrade it as fast as possible, I have terrible luck with gear. The worst luck ever. But outside of that, I'm a very dedicated person (both guild wise and tanking wise), I own up to mistakes right away, I can take whatever you dish out (advice, flaming, ect). I try to come to raids as prepared as possible. From flasks, to pots, and I'm leveling cooking to make fish feasts.

Personality wise, I'm extremely laid back. I avoid drama like the plague, I don't cause it (at least, not purposely), and I'm very quick to try to end a problem. I love to laugh... Well, I'm pretty much a hippy without the drugs.... sort of. I'm bad at talking about myself. Point is, not many people who have met me dislike me. I get along with a wide variety of people.

What I lack in gear, I make up in dedication, determination, and just generally loving to raid. I highly enjoy theorycrafting, reading up on my class, participating in warrior/warlock class discussions, and I just straight up love tanking.

Thanks in advanced for reading my application, and please know that I'm doing everything I can to get better gear. If I don't make the cut, then I wish you the best of luck with your guild, and your future raids : ).

Sorry for the delayed response, if you're still interested contact Licks or Kiblol in-game at your earliest convenience. If either of us are not in-game while you're on, ask a guildmember for our vent and check for us there.
